Dunn’s Boat Service invites you to experience, first hand, the unique beauty and history of Big Moose Lake.

Step aboard “Grace”, a meticulously restored 1955 Lapstrake mahogany Chris Craft Sea Skiff, named for Grace Brown, famous victim of the South Bay murder described in Theodore Dreiser’s classic tale An American Tragedy. Settle down in your seat and get lost in the adventure, intrigue and scenery around you. Your tour begins with a greeting from your captain, your personal guide on this voyage

back in time. During the excursion, the captain will discuss the Chester Gillette/Grace Brown story as well as offer interesting highlights about Big Moose Lake and it’s unique camps and scenery.

Our tour boat operates daily in July and August at 11am and 2pm and weekends in September. Reservations are not required but suggested. A minimum of 4 adults are required to depart. All tours are weather permitting. Charter tours are available with advance reservation for up to 14 persons.
